What is stockpile volume measurement?
Stockpile volume measurement is the precision calculation of bulk-material tonnage using aerial photogrammetry or LiDAR. A calibrated drone captures overlapping imagery of the pile; processing produces a digital surface model, which — combined with a reference base plane — yields volume to sub-2% accuracy. Flybi delivers this as a verified, audit-grade report within 48 hours of mobilization.
What is an aeromagnetic survey, and when do I need one?
Aeromagnetic surveys measure variations in the Earth’s magnetic field from a low-altitude airborne platform. They reveal subsurface geology — ore bodies, structural trends, intrusives, basement depth — without drilling. Use them early in the exploration cycle to de-risk drilling spend, generate drill targets, and map structural context over large blocks cheaply and quickly.
How accurate are drone-based stockpile measurements?
With ground control points and calibrated cameras, drone volumetrics achieve ±1% to ±2% accuracy versus weighbridge totals. That’s materially better than manual surveys and comparable to terrestrial laser scanning at a fraction of the cost and time. Flybi audits every deployment against weighbridge or truck-count data, and publishes the reconciliation inside the report.

For sites in India: typically 3–7 days from scoping call to on-site capture, with verified reports delivered 48 hours after capture. International deployments (East Africa, Southeast Asia) follow a defined mobilization plan with a fixed timeline published in the engagement letter.
